Our Story
Some of you know the name. Fewer know the reason.
Not Half Bad isn't just a corp tag or a brand. It comes from a real person.
Aaron Garcia was my best friend since 9th grade. My brother. He introduced me to punk—not just the music, but what it actually stood for: standing your ground, protecting your people, and never looking the other way when someone needs you.
One of my favorite memories with him was New Year's Eve 2017. Shoulder-to-shoulder house show in Fort Worth, walls shaking, people packed tight, one of our favorite local punk bands playing. The kind of night you think will never end. Eventually the cops busted it up and everything went sideways.
That same night, I learned what kind of man he was in another way. While I was dressed as John Lennon, someone started talking about jumping me. Aaron shut that down immediately. No hesitation. One punch, knocked a tooth clean out. Blood all over the tux vest I'd let him borrow. I wasn't even mad. He stood up for his brother, period.
The name Not Half Bad comes from another local band we loved and from that whole scene we grew up in. The people. The nights. The sense of belonging. Aaron is the reason that name still means something to me.
That's why I'm active. Why I show up. Why I don't disappear when things get hard. If you're here, you're not just another number.
We stand together. We protect our people. That's what this corp stands for.
